If you love ultra high-resolution displays, Japan’s Semiconductor Energy Laboratory has 8K OLED displays in the works that could be used for tablets and notebooks in the future.
The displays come in 8.3 and 13.3 inches and will support a resolution of 7,680 x 4,320 pixels. This gives the smaller 8.3-inch display a pixel density count of a whopping 1,062 PPI. The larger 13.3-inch has a pixel density count of 663 PPI – nearly three times that of a MacBook Air’s Retina display.
